Lavish Love: What We Mean To God

Morning Series begins August 17

14 Lavish Love

Most of us live under a sense of being unworthy of God’s love and attention.  Some carry guilt over our pasts, having missed the sufficiency of the death of Jesus Christ.  Others have never viewed themselves as candidates for any adoring attention from anyone, let alone God!  The astonishing glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that God has lavishly poured out His love on us.  We could not be loved more.  While He does not need us, He takes great pains to celebrate His love for us.  Yes, we are loved!

A vision of that love can anchor our perception of ourselves to the person of Jesus Christ.  He loved us and gave Himself for us.  We mean a great deal to God, because He is that loving.  It is a love without measure and one lavished richly upon us.  We have more worth to God than we have ever imagined.  We’ll be embedding into our mind over this six-week series this fresh vision of God’s affection for His children.  Wow!   Who knew the treasures of the gospel revealed to us in Jesus Christ?
