First Grade: Science
The study of God's world in the science curriculum for first grade is handled in the areas of: the senses, the heavens, mechanical and magnetic forces, growing things, wild and tame animals, characteristics of heat, air, matter, and sound, forces in weather, and teeth. The products of these science lessons are taught as facts, concepts, and principles.
