Kindergarten: Mathematics In kindergarten children learn to count and recognize numbers I – 100. They learn to count to 100 by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's. These number concepts are included: number families, before, after, and between numbers; smallest to largest numbers; number words (one to ten) and addition family combinations one to eight. In addition beginning concepts of telling time, calendar, money, measurement and subtraction are taught.
