HISTORY
In the late 1930s, God moved upon the hearts of a small group of believers
to begin meeting in homes for Bible study and encouragement. In
1943 this group organized as a church and began meeting in a
storefront in downtown Charleston. The City Bible Center, as the
church was called in those days, moved into a refurbished home
on Broad Street and later built its first “church” structure on
Kanawha Boulevard in 1956. Bible Center’s third relocation took
place in 1976 when the congregation began meeting in our
current facility located on US Rt. 119
.The church has been blessed with steady growth
and has seen the expansion of ministries to our own congregation
and outreach ministries around the world. In 2008, Bible Center
Church opened a second campus in the Southridge area to further
enhance ministry to our community and the world. The story of Bible Center Church is a
story of God’s faithfulness. In all things we seek to give Him
glory!
