Pastor’s Letter

Dear Friends,

Welcome to church! I’m so glad you’re here.

Did you celebrate any birthdays this year… perhaps the birthday of one of your heroes or a milestone of your own? For his 21st, Justin Bieber rented a private island in the Caribbean. When Beyoncé turned 35, she went big with a ‘70s theme bash, hosting the families of two presidents. Kate Moss celebrated her 40th with a four-day party and an army of fire jugglers. Simon Cowell spent over a million dollars on his by renting a fleet of limousines and a tank of live sharks.

However, no birthday deserves more festivity than that of Jesus! His life accomplished so much and—most importantly—His death purchased our salvation and the future restoration of the universe.

To celebrate what Jesus did for us, we’ll partake of communion together at the end of today’s service. (If you’re new to Bible Center, don’t worry. We’ll explain everything.)

Together, we’ll reflect on the child who was born to die. In Luke 22 Jesus declared, “This bread is My body broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me. This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of Me.”

I pray that everything about today’s service draws your heart upward in love for the one because of Whom we can declare… Merry Christmas!

P.S. I hope you’ll join me back here on Christmas Eve for either the 3 PM or 5 PM Candlelight Services. Bring a friend or neighbor with you!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

You’re invited to join us at Bible Center Church for a beautiful Christmas Eve service. Each of the one-hour services will feature Christmas music, a children’s story, and a brief devotional. Services will end with all of us singing Silent Night while holding a candle representing Jesus, the Light of the World.

Child care (for children up to 2 years old) and the Lodge (special needs room for people of any age) available at the 3 PM service.

2019 Christmas Offering

Through the years, the Bible Center family has creatively given in various ways during the holidays. This year we are designating all December giving as the “Christmas Offering” to ensure we end the year strong and look forward to all that God will do next year. You may give on Sundays, or anytime online, on the app, or through the mail.

All December giving focuses on two goals:

  1. Fund the ministry
  2. Catch up on our budget shortfall so far this year

Your December giving will catch up our budgeted expenses, allowing us to:

  • Reach people who may never step foot inside a church by hosting conferences and training events.
  • Partner with local organizations like Union Mission
  • Repair and maintain our parking lot
  • Serve families affected by special needs
  • Teach the Bible to hundreds of children weekly, and reach teens with the gospel
  • Lead approximately 1500 people in worship each Sunday
  • Support missionaries worldwide
