Pastor’s Letter

Dear Friends,

Welcome to our Online Church Campus! I pray today’s service helps you take another step in your journey with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today we conclude our series titled, “The Final Word on Fear.” I’ll be re-telling another true story of Jesus calming the fears of his followers.

Next weekend we launch a new series titled, “DIVERGENT: What in the world do we do now?” If there’s ever been a time of transition, uncertainty, confusion, and angst… it’s now. Though the quarantine has slowed down life for many, some feel like they’re wandering in the wilderness.

  • What do we do when the journey seems aimless?
  • How do we emerge from this global pandemic and financial crisis?
  • What in the world do we do now?

Thankfully, the ancient book of Exodus holds answers for us today.

Exodus is an adventure story par excellence. It features a cruel villain, an unlikely hero, overwhelming disasters, a spectacular deliverance, a long journey, a mountaintop experience, and a grand finale. The true, inspired story features unexpected setbacks and unpredictable delays, magic tricks and miracles, feasts and festivals, music and dancing, and many close encounters with God.

Mother’s Day, next Sunday, could not come at a better time. The series launches with the very first message titled, “Seeing God’s Grace Through Moms.” We can learn much about God from Exodus 1-2, but we also learn much about Moses’ mom.

Is there a specific friend or family member that you can invite to watch with you? Consider referring them to Fox 11 at 11 AM (channel 12 for some in our area). For a more full experience (interviews, more music, children’s content), ask them to join you via our website, our app, Facebook, or YouTube.

On the journey with you,

Matt Friend • Senior Pastor
