Pastor’s Letter

Dear Bible Center family & friends,

Welcome to church! Thanks for visiting in person or tuning in online or on TV.

Today we conclude our series, Media on the Mount, hearing Jesus’ inspired words from His Sermon on the Mount. Today we’ll dive into Matthew 7 and let God’s Word take our temperature… our spiritual temperature, that is.

Join us next week for the launch of our new series, Overwhelmed. What can we do when we’re overwhelmed by life’s hardships? Ironically, the answer is to be even more overwhelmed by heaven’s goodness!

Over the next six weeks, I pray that you’ll be overcome by heaven’s vision of unity, astounded by the Bible’s credibility, overawed by the rich doctrine of the Holy Trinity, dumbfounded by God the Father, stunned by God the Son, and speechless by God the Spirit. With God’s help, may we all be Overwhelmed (in a good way) by what we hear and see.

God is inviting us to think deeply about who He is. Together, we’ll seek His face and drink freely from the fountain of His love. In summary, what’s the goal of studying Christian doctrine? To see God “face to face” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

With you in pursuit of God,

Matt Friend • Lead Pastor

P.S. As a friendly reminder… our TV services are aired from the previous week. Additionally, this weekend (on Sunday, September 6th), our TV services transition from Fox 11 at 11 AM to WCHS (ABC) at 10 AM.

Fall Membership Session

  • Friday, October 2 (6:30-8:30 PM) via Zoom video conference
  • OR Saturday, October 3 (9:00 AM-12:00 PM) in room 3105/06

Join Pastor Matt, along with other Pastors & Staff, for our Fall Membership Session! We want membership to be a meaningful commitment to you from our pastors and church family, as you’ll want your membership to be a meaningful commitment to us. Being a Bible Center member is the best way to tell our leaders, “Remember me in your prayers, counsel, teaching, and godly example.”

Joining the church is not required at the end of the session, nor will pressure be placed on you to join. So, feel free to attend, even if it’s just to know more about Bible Center and its staff. In the future, if you do decide to join our membership, you’ll already have the required class completed.

Only one class is required–virtually on Friday or in person on Saturday! (Due to the pandemic, no food will be provided.) Registration is required.
