What We Believe

Jesus demonstrates and communicates the Gospel through words and deeds. He breaks down all religious and social barriers to make the Gospel available, attractive, and understandable to every repentant heart. Jesus is always for the underdog, the sick, and oppressed, we will demonstrate His passion through our resources, people, and ministries.

Bible Center desires to reflect her Savior in word, deed, and passion. Everyone, regardless of economic status, gender, age or ethnicity are welcomed with open doors and open arms into the life of our church. Church practices and culture must line up with Scripture so that the only barrier to understanding and receiving the Gospel is Jesus Himself.

We believe that the Father is eternal and rules supremely over all things. We believe that Jesus is fully God and was born of a virgin, died for our sins on the cross, and was resurrected three days later. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all believers and guides and comforts us.

We believe that God is the creator of all things including mankind. Due to the fall of mankind into sin, we are separated from God and cannot save ourselves.

We believe that Jesus is the only way to God. He is God in the flesh and through His death on the cross the price for sin was paid. Salvation is a free gift of God and is received through faith. Our only responsibility is to believe in Christ – in essence to stake the destiny of our souls on what Jesus accomplished on the cross.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth. God has given the church two ordinances to display His work on behalf of mankind: Baptism, which pictures what happens when a person is saved through faith in Christ, and Communion, which pictures what Jesus accomplished on the cross. These ordinances do not save a person, but are important acts of obedience for one who is saved. We believe that the church is to maintain a witness to the lost and seek to assist in the maturing process of believers.

Life After Death

We believe that heaven awaits those who have received God’s gift of salvation and hell awaits those who reject. We believe Christ will return to take believers to be with Himself and will later return to establish His kingdom.

A Christian's Responsibilities

We believe it is our duty in obedience and love to obey God’s commands for living. Our lives are to be marked by holiness and service for our Lord. We need to be joined with others in a Christian community which is the church in order to encourage each other in the Christian life and to worship our God. We also are called upon to be a witness to those who are without Christ.
