Sermon Series

About the Series

July/August 2025

Many of us look at the world today and wonder: Why so much division, animosity, and evil? And if God is real, where is He—and what is He doing?

The book of Genesis is where God begins revealing Himself to us. In it, we see His character and His plan to restore what was broken and bring us back to the original design He created for us.

If you have questions about God, the Bible, or life itself, Genesis is a great place to start. It’s where you’ll begin to find answers—and encounter the God who, out of love, sent His Son for you.

We Gather

Scripture References: Hebrews 10:19-25

From Series: "The Thread Between"

As followers of Jesus, we can look back on our lives and point to specific moments in which the Lord worked in our lives or in our church in unique—and even sometimes, miraculous—ways. Those moments are significant. They stand out in our memories, and they give us fuel to keep moving forward when things get difficult. The evidence of God’s work in our lives leads us to celebrate those moments and to even long for the next one, praying that God will continue to do unique things in our lives and in the life of our church. Many times, as we look at those high points, we miss the everyday, ongoing process of faithfully following Jesus. The practice of allowing Jesus to transform us through His Word, gathering with other Christians, and investing faithfully in His work can get lost as we search for the next big moment. But it’s that consistent, faithful approach—continually valuing the things Jesus sees as important—and the implementation of making those habits a part of our lives that brings the space and opportunity for God to do unique and special things through us. It’s the thread between the moments.
