About the Series
Summer 2022
Our highest calling is to love and glorify God. Often we get so focused on living for God and doing for God that we forget to set our gaze on God. The desire and goal of this series is to set our eyes, hearts, and souls on the beauty and majesty of God. The Bible actually tells us that if we continually and actively gaze and behold God, we will be transformed into His likeness. God reveals Himself to us through His Word. God will never be known fully, but He can be known truly.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Behold: Reflecting His Glory
Beholding God the Son
The Christ, the Son of the living God. The central figure of Christianity. God in human form sent by the Father, free of sin, to fulfill the old covenant and bring forth a new covenant. He was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead, allowing His disciples to find salvation from sin.

Transformed by God's Word

From Series: "Wholly Transformed"
If you lived with Jesus—literally, in the same house with Jesus—for 10-20 years, do you think it would change you? It certainly transformed James, Jesus’ half-brother and author of the book of James. (You can read more about him in Mark 6:3, Acts 12 & 15, and Galatians 1-2.) The New Testament book of James is a power-packed summary of everything Jesus is and all that Jesus taught. It reads like the book of Proverbs and Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), condensed and rolled into one. It’s chock-full of down-to-earth illustrations and memorable one-liners with one goal: to wholly transform us into the image of Christ. • James wants us to bear the marks of genuine disciples who love God, love each other, and love our neighbors. • Through James, God invites us to live whole lives where our actions are completely integrated and always consistent with the beliefs and values we’ve received from Jesus. Thankfully, God is on a mission to make fractured people whole, and we are part of His mission! Throughout this series, let’s commit to bringing our fractured selves to Jesus—week after week and day after day—for healing and transformation.
