HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — During the coronavirus pandemic, churches have had to resort to alternate ways of hosting services—some of which have been very successful.
One method has been online church, and while that has been a temporary replacement for in-person services, one area church has found success with their online outreach. It’s a non-traditional method of ministry that seems to be very successful.
…Because of Bible Center’s success with its online outreach, [Matt] Garrison is now responsible for the church’s online presence and for reaching out to people through social media.
…Friend said that’s the goal of the online outreach at Bible Center Church, ministering to people’s needs in the new coronavirus world.
“Our mission hasn’t changed to make disciples but our methods must change and the methods have changed throughout church history,” Friend said.
