9 & 11 AM
6:00-7:30 PM – during the school year
(Awana, K-5th Grade)
To develop moms, dads, sons, daughters and leaders to:
- Be present – see who is around you, live in the moment and connect your faith to life.
- Create safe environments where we feel free ask questions about life and our relationships about Jesus.
- Partner to live out our faith every day.
- Make our faith personal, living it out everyday in all of our life circles: home work or school.
- Move our faith out from where we are into the next phase of life.
Steve’s greatest passion is not only to see girls and boys come to know Jesus Christ but also to be a life coach for moms and dads, assisting them in navigating these different phases of their children’s lives. He strives to encourage parents, to support families through each phase, and to teach children to love others, to love God, and to discover what it means to live a full life in Jesus.
The Latest from Children’s Ministry
2 28 21 Base Camp OnlineWhen we look around there are so many people that are different than us. Some people like candy while others like chicken. Some people love ice cream and others would rather vegetables. What is it about you that you like but others might choose something different? Today we watch how a group of people tries to trip Jesus up, catch him in a trap, by seeing how he answers the questions about eternal life and who is my neighbor. Like normal there is a crowd of people following Jesus trying to find answers about living in this world. As always Jesus shares a message of hope.
Our bottom line this week is Be kind to those who are different than me. When is it hard for you to be kind to someone who is different than you?
2 28 21 Base Camp OnlineHave you ever received something like a gift or a word of kindness that was not expected? Going the extra mile is something God asks us to do. Are you willing to take the journey in your spiritual life to go the extra mile?
2 21 21 Base Camp OnlineI can imagine that with all the adjustments to schedules, you being around your whole family each and ever day, being stuck inside because the weather goes from snow to rain to ice to snow making the ground all muddy, being kind to your friends and family might be hard. I know many of you have told me that there have been times where someone in your family has wrecked a lego creation, drawing or art project you were making. Others of you have shared how that person has just gotten under your last nerves. What is it that makes it hard for you to be kind to others?
Lets watch as we see how a whole family choose, in the middle of chaos, to show kindness toward others.
